Terms of use

Using canadapublicsectorjobs.com means accepting these terms. They are short on purpose.

Last updated 4 September 2026

1. What this service is

CanadaPublicSectorJobs is an independent index of publicly advertised vacancies at Canadian public sector employers. We collect postings from employers’ own sites and from licensed job feeds, organise them, and link back to the original. We are not a government service, not a recruiter, and not an employment agency — the full statement is on the disclaimer page and forms part of these terms.

2. We never take an application

Every apply link hands you to the employer’s own system. We do not receive, hold, forward, screen or influence applications, and we have no say in any hiring decision. Once you follow an apply link you are on somebody else’s site, under their terms and their privacy policy.

3. The employer’s posting governs

Listings here are summaries assembled from a source, and sources go stale. Closing dates change, competitions are cancelled, salary bands are updated and postings are withdrawn, sometimes without any signal we can see. Where anything on this site conflicts with the employer’s own posting, the employer’s posting is correct. Check it before relying on a date, a requirement or a figure.

We make no warranty that a listing is current, complete or accurate, and we do not guarantee that the index is exhaustive. The service is provided on an “as is” basis.

4. Free to use, no account required

Searching, browsing and applying through this site are free and always will be. We will never charge a job seeker, and we will never ask for payment, banking details or a social insurance number. An account is optional and exists only to save jobs and searches; you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself, and we may close an account being used to abuse the service.

5. What you may and may not do with the content

You may:

  • read, search and share individual listings and pages;
  • quote or cite a page — including in research, journalism or an AI answer — with a link back to the page it came from;
  • read our sitemaps and llms.txt, which exist to be read.

You may not:

  • bulk-copy, scrape or re-publish the listing corpus, in whole or in substantial part, or use it to build a competing index;
  • place automated load on the site beyond ordinary browsing, or attempt to bypass rate limits;
  • harvest email addresses, or use any contact route here to send unsolicited commercial messages;
  • misrepresent this site as an official or government service, or imply an affiliation that does not exist.

The restriction on bulk reproduction is not posturing. Many postings are republished here under source terms that allow us to display them but not to sublicense them, so we are not free to grant a right we do not hold.

6. Whose content is whose

Job descriptions, employer names and employer logos belong to the employers who created them and are used descriptively, to identify whose vacancy a listing is. Where a source licence does not permit republication, we publish only the structured facts and a short excerpt with a link to the original. Our own writing — the guides, the hub introductions, the salary reference pages — along with the site design and code, remains ours.

7. Removal and corrections

If you are an employer, a source, or a rights holder and something here should be changed or removed, write to sales@uniqevo.co.uk or use the contact form. Tell us the URL and what is wrong. We act promptly, and we do not require a formal legal notice before removing something an employer asks us to remove.

We can also remove an employer from the index entirely on request. We would rather run a smaller index than an unwelcome one.

8. Guides and salary data are not advice

Our guides and pay-grid pages describe how public sector hiring in Canada generally works. They are reference material, not legal, immigration, professional-licensing, tax or financial advice, and they do not replace a collective agreement, a job poster, or a regulator’s own guidance. Every salary figure carries the source it came from and the date it was retrieved; pay grids change, so check the source before relying on a number.

9. Availability and change

We do not promise the site will be available without interruption, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it. Where sources change what they publish, or what they permit, the index changes with them.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on a listing, from a missed closing date, from an employer’s decision, or from any third-party site reached through a link here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which a dispute properly arises. Questions about anything above: sales@uniqevo.co.uk, or the contact form.
