Independence statement

This is not a government service

CanadaPublicSectorJobs is a privately operated, independent job directory. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, contracted to, or operated by the Government of Canada, any provincial or territorial government, any municipal government, any health authority, school board, crown corporation, police or fire service, or any other employer whose vacancies appear on it.

We are not a recruiter, an employment agency, or an authorised representative of any employer. We do not receive, review, forward or influence applications. Nothing published here is an official notice, and nothing here alters an employer’s own competition rules, eligibility criteria or deadlines. Where this site and an employer’s own posting disagree, the employer is right.

If you are looking for the official site

Every listing on this site links out to the employer’s own posting, and that link is the official one. Applications for federal public service positions are made through the Government of Canada’s own recruitment system; provincial, municipal, health authority and school board competitions each run through their own. We do not reproduce, mirror or replace any of them.

If you arrived here expecting a government website, use the apply link on the listing you are interested in — it will take you to the employer. Nothing on this site needs to be completed before you do that.

We never take an application

There is no application form anywhere on this site, and there never will be. Every apply button is a redirect that hands you to the employer’s own system, and the structured data we publish for search engines says so explicitly. If a page ever appears to ask you to apply here, it is not one of ours — tell us at sales@uniqevo.co.uk.

We will never ask you for a social insurance number, a banking detail, a payment, a copy of identity documents, or a fee of any kind. No legitimate Canadian public sector employer charges to apply for a job either. Treat any message claiming otherwise, in our name or theirs, as fraudulent.

No government marks are used

We do not use the Government of Canada wordmark, the federal signature, the flag symbol, any provincial coat of arms, or any employer’s logo as a mark of endorsement. The visual identity of this site — its colours, typefaces and layout — is deliberately unlike Canada.ca and unlike any provincial government service, because being mistaken for one would be both a legal problem for us and a real harm to the person making the mistake.

Employer names are used descriptively, to say whose vacancy a listing is. That is nominative use, not a claim of association or approval.

What we do and do not promise about the listings

We index 1,409 open postings from 8 employers across 5 provinces and territories, refreshed hourly from 6 active sources. Those are counted figures, not estimates, and they were counted when this page loaded.

What we promise:

  • Every listing came from a real posting at a real source, and links back to it.
  • We remove postings once they close, and we say when a listing was last confirmed at its source.
  • No salary figure is published without a source, and an estimated figure is labelled as an estimate wherever it appears.

What we cannot promise:

  • That a posting is still open. Employers close competitions early, extend them, cancel them and re-post them, sometimes without changing anything we can see.
  • That the details here are complete. A summary is a summary; the employer’s posting is the full document and the only one that governs.
  • That we have found everything. Some employers do not publish machine-readable postings at all, and some sources have terms that bar us from collecting them.

The site is provided as it is, without warranty. Decisions about your career should rest on the employer’s own posting, which is always one click away.

Guides, salary data and reference content

Our guides and pay-grid pages describe how public sector hiring in Canada generally works. They are journalism and reference, not legal, immigration, professional-licensing or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for reading the collective agreement, the job poster, or the regulator’s own guidance. Each carries the date it was last reviewed, and every salary figure carries the source it was taken from and the date it was retrieved. Pay grids change; check the source.

For employers

If you are the employer behind a listing and something is wrong — the posting has closed, the details are inaccurate, the competition was cancelled, or you would prefer not to be indexed at all — write to sales@uniqevo.co.uk or use the contact form. We act on removal requests promptly and without argument. We would rather run a smaller index than an unwelcome one.

Job descriptions remain the property of whoever wrote them. Where a source licence does not permit republication, we publish only the structured facts and a short excerpt, with a link to the original.

Where this statement appears

A condensed version of this statement sits in the strip above the masthead on every page of the site, in the footer of every page, in the structured data search engines read, in llms.txt for AI crawlers, and in every email we send. That repetition is deliberate. The single worst outcome for a site like this one is somebody believing they have applied for a government job when they have not.
